Left only with her son, after the death of her husband in a violent way, a single mother is terrified of her son’s fear of staying in a house where a monster might hide. Soon, they realise that a sinister presence is circling them, at which point their lives change completely.

In this American horror film in which you will follow the story of a young couple, Katie and Michael, who are haunted by a supernatural entity in their home.

They realise that strange events are happening in their home, but they don’t know what’s haunting them, so they decide to install a camera with which to record abnormal events. Many of the events in the horror film presented are based on real events.

It is an American psychological horror film in which you will follow the story of a pregnant woman who fears her husband because he would have made a pact with their neighbours, promising their child to be used as a human sacrifice in occult rituals. The man would have done all these actions to achieve success in his acting career.

15. Horror movie – Eraserhead (1977)

It’s a black-and-white horror film in which you will follow the story of Henry Spencer, who remains in the care of his deformed child, in a deserted industrial environment.

Throughout the film, Spencer has hallucinations and dreams related to both the child and the Lady of the Radiator. Filming the horror film took several years because of difficulties in raising funds.

14. The Blob – 1958

The Blob is a monster horror film where a meteorite crashes near the town of Arborville, California. An older man, passing through the area, discovers a substance in a sphere that looks like gelatin (drop) and sticks to his hands.

His health instantly worsens, and three high school students who find the older man decides to take him to the hospital. One of the high school students also comes into contact with gelatin and dies just like the older man.

13. The Shining – 1980

The Shining is a psychological horror film in which you will learn the story of a writer, who accepts the job of supervisor of a hotel. This space in winter is significantly deserted.

The writer’s son has environmental skills and can see things from the past and the future, as well as the ghosts that live in the hotel. The writer begins to have bouts of madness, trying to kill his own child and wife.

12. The Fly – 1986

SF Horror Film ranked 33rd in Bravo’s 100 Scariest Movie Moments (National Television Channel in the United States). Scary film in which, the main character Jeff Goldblum, a very ambitious scientist, becomes half fly during a teleportation experiment.

11. Videodrome – 1983

A Canadian horror film in which the script depicts a very violent TV signal that seduces and controls viewers. The broadcaster’s executive director is hampered by a TV signal with extreme violence and torture.

The layers of the conspiracy reveal themselves with the discovery of the source of the signal, while it loses contact with reality.

10. The Ring – 2002

The horror film presents events around the same premise from previous films. A person watching a video of horror images receives a phone call saying he will die in seven days.

Several people receive the video in the city, even a few young people who watch the tape in a mini-holiday, receive the call with the warning but ignore it, and they all die on the same night.

It all starts when Adam and Lawrence Gordon wake up tied to each other in a filthy toilet. Jaw’s the horror film that was ranked 1st in Bravo’s 100 Scariest Movie Moments. It’s a film based on the novel of the same name where the head of Amity Island, a fictional location, tries to protect people from the attacks of a giant white shark.

4. Alien – 1979

SF horror film that received the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, the Saturn Awards for Best SF Film, Best Directing for Scott and Best Supporting Actress, Cartwright.  The Land spacecraft Nostromo visits an asteroid, and after receiving an unknown signal, discovers that it comes from an abandoned alien spacecraft.

In the face of exploration, he observes a strange object like an egg, from which comes a creature that attaches to his face and makes him unconscious.

3. The Invisible Man (2020)

Based on the 1897 H. G. Wells novel, The Invisible Man stars Elisabeth Moss as a woman trapped in an abusive relationship. When her boyfriend suddenly dies, Moss’s character Cecilia knows that his loose ends are far from tied.
